Rasząg is a small and remarkable village on the border of Warmia and Masuria. Located away from the city bustle, a little forgotten, radiating peace and quiet.

Tourists visiting Rasząg feel they have arrived in another world – one that is increasingly rare in the 21st century. Time flows slowly here, nature is everywhere, history is close and the people are kind and friendly… A lake, forest and monuments are within arm's reach.

An object of particular interest to visitors of Rasząg is the neo-Romanesque church – almost a hundred years old, built entirely of fieldstone. Its sight is impressive! Today it serves as a branch of the Evangelical-Augsburg parish in Sorkwity.

Rasząg is a historic village founded in the 16th century. Its history reflects the history of the whole of Warmia. In the 19th century Jan Liszewski, one of the founders of the Gazeta Olsztyńska, taught here – he also initiated the establishment of a library of the People's Reading Rooms Society in Rasząg. Against the rules, he taught in Polish. Although in the 1920 plebiscite fewer than 40% of residents voted for Poland, Polish identity continued to be actively cultivated in Rasząg.

Today Rasząg has about 400 inhabitants and stands out for their activity. The local Off Road Rasząg 4x4 Association organises off-road vehicle rallies that are unique on a national scale – the Off-Road Titanium Winch Cup – for the Cup of the Rasząg Village Head.

• Biskupiec, a town with over 600 years of tradition, lying between Olsztyn, the capital of Warmia and Masuria (about 37 km), and Mrągowo, the Polish capital of country music (about 27 km).
